The days grow warmer and filled with life, but something is amiss that few ever take notice of in their mundane lives. A Darkness that stirs just out of view, that no one would expect to be even there. It is often the very thing that allows monsters to hide amongst those who expect nothing to ever happen to them in their neck of the woods. Everyone wants to be safe and live without the need to keep an eye open in the dead of night, with the possibility of something bad happening while they sleep. But let's face it: bad things happen whether we like them or not, the unintentional stuff we have no control over; it's just the intentional ones you have to be worried about.
It's no secret that people have issues they have to deal with daily. If they become too big to keep a secret, they can easily affect those around them in various ways. Some of them, however, end up being far darker than one can imagine, bringing pain and misery wherever they may appear. There is darkness in all things, whether it may be Human or otherwise, and should never be denied, for the threat of danger is never-ending. The only way to stop such things from happening is to confront them when the chance is given, or it will be allowed to fester with fear and ignorance being its cloak in its darkness, waiting to strike once more.
Unsettling Silence
We live in dark times, and few dare to question the idea of something amiss in their presence. All present here know the truth of what lies before us: that there are forces at play that few would dare confront and put an end to such wickedness. That is the task that must be done to protect those who lack an understanding of what truly happens in this world. Whether it may be an individual or an unnatural power, it must be stopped before more harm is caused to the people within its reach. For all those who have chosen to join this perilous task, a badge shall be given to identify ourselves, knowing that we are amongst friends who shall overcome this evil. At this moment, we are the only line of defense that can end the horror before more are claimed by its power, and it must be stopped no matter the cost.
