Shifting Roots

Shifting Roots are found on the Alhara side of Jana. Their roots imbed roughly 79 Inches (200 Cm) into the ground and absorb whatever water or dampness is in the area. Once they have absorbed a sufficient amount of water they 'un-anchor' by retracting their roots and allowing the wind or tectonic movements to shift them around.   They are mostly found near river-sides. However, there is a popular rumor that these plants are also found where corpses and victims of the harsh environment were formerly present as it has been discovered that they in fact consider most blood compositions a sufficient sustainable source of nutrients. Aside from the unsettling rumor they are used in medicines as a cure for nausea.
