Jana Overview

Jana is a tidally-locked planet that rotates at the same rate as its orbit. As a result of this, one side the world is constantly exposed to daytime with arid climates and extreme heat called Alhara, while the opposite side is constantly in night with arctic temperatures and a great deal of water called Albard. Between these two environments is a border comprised of incredibly intense storms, the hot and cold airs mixing together to form near-constant hurricanes.   Albard houses the main planetary government and, as a result, has a great deal of order and wealth. Alhara, however, so far from the governing body and separated by storms, has far less structure to it and even less wealth.   The main exports of the planet are solar energy, harvested from Alhara and stored in batteries, and mining from the immense numbers of mountains and cavernous terrain. One particular material that is mined from the world is Hikori , a unique thermal resistant metal that can drastically change properties after extended exposure to specific temperatures.
