Legacy, Defenders of the Federation

A once small organization that dedicated itself to the betterment of the world, Legacy has long outgrown its once humble origins in the nation of Kaori. Originally founded in 3767 K.U. by Valerie Nicolette, the sixth wielder of the magical sword Deliverance, Legacy was equal parts a community center and a heroic vigilante organization. After rapidly growing in size and influence, the group became closely tied to Kaori's government, and worked to protect not only the nation but the entire world.   However, in 3794 K.U., as the world was becoming increasingly divided into the three main factions that would dominate the planet, Legacy elected to break off from the now Northern Suns Federation government. The world needed saving not from supervillains and alien invasions, but from itself, and Legacy was going to do just that.   Retreating to an orbital space station that the group had converted into a base as a contingency plan, the members of Legacy began operating as mediators and peace keepers, trying their hardest to prevent all out global conflict. Despite their best efforts, though, an assassination of the Yedian Union's president plunged the world into a massive war that threatened to escalate into total destruction of the planet.   Despite how things were developing, though, the members of Legacy did not give up. They continued to fight to bring peace, and after seven long years they managed to achieve it. The three factions of the world signed a treaty together, forming a singular world government that would come to be known as the Imotaiyo Federation. In recognition of Legacy's efforts, they were named the Defenders of the Federation, serving as a super-powered peacekeeping force. When the Federation focused its efforts on the stars, the group set out with them, defending the fledgling colonies from threats and helping to maintain order the best they can.
