"Who am I? Just an Armored Rider passing by. Transform!"
~~Armored Rider Century
Armored Riders is a type of hero or villain who have the ability to transformed into an masked armored hero through the power of a belt buckle. The user need not have powers or magic to begin with, even the average man can become an Armored Rider, but it is the fact the belt’s power relies on the fighting spirit and battle will of the user. These Riders come in many forms, themes, and have various types of abilities that reflect their fighting style or how they were customized, and they each have some sort of integrated vehicle, usually in the form of a bike with special abilities.
The origin of these belts and their power are not exactly known. At most, these basic diagrams to make a belt can be found in the deepest corner of the web in areas that people seek power or a means to protect themselves. No one knows who the original person is, nor what was their objective to posting it to the public, and any attempt to track the host server has been impossible. The plans are open to the public, so long as they have the will to find it, able to solve a strange puzzle as a form of screening, and have the ability and resources to build it. Due to this, everyone has a different story as to how they acquired Rider Powers. They could have built it, joined a company that capitalized on it, or it was given by someone who possessed the Rider Powers.
The Rider’s greatest strength and weakness is their belt. Although they can be created with advanced tech, high level magic, or even a combination of
MagiTech, if the owner loses their belt or have their belt destroyed they are completely powerless, unless they have an individual power. So long as the user have access to their belt, or are able to wear it, they can gain their powers and protect themselves or others. In saying so there are also those who use the Rider powers for crime and villainy, they would be coined as Dark Riders.
