Velos is the youngest son of Grimnir, the Allfather, but the two share little beyond lineage. Where Grimnir hoards knowledge to steady the world, Velos delights in loosening its seams. A seasoned shapeshifter, he favors the guise of a horned vagrant with matted hair, piercing green eyes, and a forked tongue that twists truth into riddles — the form that earned him his epithet. He drifts between throne rooms and back alleys without distinction, leaving discord in his wake. His trickery spans harmless mischief to calculated cruelty, and he accepts blame with theatrical ease, treating infamy not as shame but as the closest thing to an honest title.
Though branded the black sheep of his divine family, Velos remains Grimnir’s Exarch, wielding magic that undermines reality itself and rivals the wildest feats of wizardry. His illusions can scatter armies, mislead prophets, or unravel a scholar’s magnum opus with a single spelling mistake. His faithful—an odd congregation of outcasts, fools, and would-be mystics—endure his pranks willingly, convinced that every humiliation he deals them is a lesson in disguise. Velos entertains the notion for sport, curious how far devotion can stretch before it snaps. To him, life is a rigged game, where the only rule is that someone must walk away confused.
