The Corsairs

Type – Pirate Fleet

The Corsairs are a seafaring band of marauders and cutthroats, descended from the ranks of Craven’s Royal Armada. Once lauded as loyal defenders of the Isles, they were privateers commissioned by the Crown to protect shipping lanes, intercept smugglers, and keep monsters of the deep at bay. But as years wore on, their loyalty thinned — bled dry by broken promises, paltry pay, and the creeping rot of corruption in the Admiralty. The breaking point came in a wave of insurrections now remembered as the Great Mutiny, when entire flotillas defected en masse. They turned pirate not out of desperation, but conviction, shedding their banners and rewriting the rules of the sea. Today, the Corsairs operate with ruthless precision, targeting merchant vessels, Crown convoys, and rival crews alike. Wyrmsilk sails and Hashibira flintlocks mark the Corsairs as elite among pirates, and their presence on the Sea of Tears is both a promise of profit and a sentence of doom.

Their headquarters lies deep within Corsair Cove, a stronghold of shipwrecks and gangways secreted in the rocky embrace of Tidewater. The path to it is narrow and treacherous, but the Corsairs know the routes well, slipping past patrols and reefs alike with practiced ease. There, beneath rusted lanterns and wind-torn flags, pirate crews from across the Isles gather to drink, barter, and pay tribute to their undisputed leader: Vesilias Teras, better known as “The Baron.” A former naval officer turned werewolf pirate lord, the Baron rules with an iron fist and a loaded gun. His orders are obeyed not out of loyalty, but the certainty of reprisal. Those who defy him are stripped of their colors and cast out — or hunted down without mercy. And yet, for the brutality of their behavior, one belief unites them all: the sea belongs to those bold enough to take it. In a world where most are forced to bend the knee, Corsairs live and die for their freedom and the thrill of the chase.
