Lord Cerberus
“I have done what I could. Let those who can do better.”
Lord Cerberus, the most powerful liege lord in the history of Uferlos, left an indelible mark upon the world. While hunting as a young man, he was mauled and nearly eaten by a werewolf. Though purged of lycanthropy before it could fully take hold, he retained a fraction of its bestial strength, becoming one of the earliest recorded lycans in history. Leading three of the Five Crusades, he was driven by his zealous hatred for necromancy to cleanse the Material Plane of undeath, and the warriors that take up arms against it are still known as Cerberans in his honor. Lord Cerberus also forged the first Ghantas, also known as Death Knells by common folk. These bells can magically disrupt the presence of the undead, and have become a standard in every major graveyard. Following the oldest traditions of humanity, Cerberus was immolated before old age could claim him and entombed before the last of the fires had even gone out.
