Cagliostro
“Anything that exists without my knowledge exists without my permission.”
Cagliostro, born in the dwarven city of Dol Volgrum before it gained its independence, was an archmage whose family had been touched by the plane of Nexis, which manifested as burnished skin and an eidetic memory. Eventually leaving his home in search of greater opportunities, he made a name for himself in Craven by publishing several groundbreaking treatises on arcane magic. After ascending to the position of High Arcanist, he turned his attention to the field of chronomancy, the theoretical ability to manipulate and potentially traverse time itself. During this period of research, Cagliostro was the leading author of “A Book of Ash and Acorns,” a cryptic tome of which only one fragmented copy remains. One fateful day, however, seemingly without explanation or warning, he retreated into his tower of Highspire, sealed the doors, and was never seen again, leaving behind an enigmatic legacy that continues to puzzle historians to this day.
