Alexios is brutality incarnate — a warlord whose presence alone could rout armies before the first blade was drawn. Born of Xul, the Flayed King, and the empress of a nation lost to history, he was destined for violence from the moment of his conception. Across centuries he stalked the battlefields of the Material Plane as his father’s champion, perfecting every form of warfare, from the gory press of melee to the patient precision of archery and siegecraft. With each campaign, he would single out the strongest of his foes, drink their departing soul, and bind their strength within himself, transforming his body into a crucible of screaming warriors.
In time, the endless war consumed him. His blood—thick with stolen souls—burned like molten iron from within, until his armor had fused into his battle-scarred flesh. Alexios met his end surrounded by mountains of slain, undone only when his mortal frame, unable to contain his power, burst apart in fire and ash. Yet even death could not claim him. In that final moment, his devotion to conquest carried him beyond mortality, and he was exalted as Exarch of Xul. His faithful, inspired by his martial prowess, no longer march to war but host great tournaments in his honor, where every triumph and every defeat is an offering to the Living Legion.
