The Hàlogi, the Tribe of Embers
The Hàlogi are an honour-bound society of wyvern killers and warriors, who have often allied with the Legion of the Harbinger. They are skilled fire elementalists, who live within the Wickerwoods and at the foot of the Tomb of the Burning Heart. Split into multiple subfactions of warlords who have endless quarrels and definitions, the life of a Hàlogi is ever changing and fluctuating, like flame itself.
The Hàlogi tribe follow a typical feudal monarchy, led by a Hearthlord, who is chosen amongst a dozen or so heirs. The Hearthlord rules over a dozen nobles, who are divided amongst the rest of the land controlled by the Hàlogi. The Hàlogi follow their own game of political houses, where lesser nobles compete for their chosen heirs in an attempt to gain further power. The Hàlogi are ruthless warriors, often confronted to the Jormar further north, and this reflected in their philosophies of honour, power and respect. They valued the importance of renewal, rebirth and belief in reincarnation after death, inspired by the teachings issued from the Beast of the Burning Heart.
Were a Hàlogi warrior be able to disarm another warrior, and thus demand their surrender, they are honourbound to end their prey's life instead; such is the ruthlessness with which the Hàlogi spend their lives.
