The Dànu, the Tribe of Rock
The Dànu are the people of the rock. They are a barbaric folk who have carved their living out of the canyons and rifts of the turbulent south, living in the Barrows of the Great Bear. The Dànu tribe are a congregation of loose tribes, who every decade elect their leader according to a sacrosanct set of rules that defined the most adept leader called, inspired from the teachings issued from the Great Bear. The Dànu believed in the importance of strength, unity and conquest. The key quality in the Dànu rulership has been to expand, and as such they are always considered a threat by other nations regardless of any existing peace.
If a Dànu warrior were to disarm their enemy, and they would surrender, the warrior would disregard their request, pick up their weapon and tell them to fight again. That is the way of the Dànu, for whom prowess is all, and weakness deserves death. They are skilled earth elementalists, capable of creating marvelous tunnelling halls with a simple chant or flick of their wrist.
