Yellow Stream of the K'Thoni River
The infamous Yellow Stream of the K'Thoni River, called so because of the clay sediment dyeing the water a bright yellow, the river is one steeped in mystery and a lack of respect for the laws of nature and the cosmos. The river starts where nearly all the K'Thoni rivers start, east of the K'Thoni mountains high in the Peaks at the Spring of the Gods. It is, in fact, the fastest moving of the rivers. Some say this is due to the fact that it was the first to spring from the rock when the king of the rivers cast his spells. Others believe it is due to the river's most famous property and the source of its most well-known nickname. The Climbing River flows down into the valley of Tehsa and back up through the K'Thoni mountains, flowing uphill for hundreds of miles and emptying into the Hidden Lake at the base of the North Eastern K'Thoni mountains. Now it should not have to be noted that this is impossible, and yet it happens. How? Well, it is said a long time ago that before whatever wiped them off the face of the map and turned there spralling state into a wide desert, a royal mage from the Republic of Oslyna cast a spell of some kind. His motives are unknown, and neither are his means, but he is creditable with redirecting the river to its current course at the behest of the leadership of his nation. Though its speed keeps it from freezing as easily as the Grey Stream, the Yellow Stream has frozen at least once a year for the last 340 years straight.
