Xyphadon-67 is a barren, ochre-hued planet located on the farm rim of Ensari-controlled territory. Initially catalogued as an uninhabitable rock with no surface water, it now functions as one of the largest prison labour sites in the sector.   The planet's surface is a network of canyons and pit systems that descend kilometres into the crust, each one carved out by decades of mining operations overseen by the The Ensari Auralis Group   Convicts, debtors, and 'unregistered workers' are shipped in masse to sustain the extraction of Xyphite, a rare and valuable industrial ore. The ore itself is not inherently toxic; however, the process of mining and refining it releases a fine particulate byproduct known among workers as Giggle Dust. This dust saturates the air within the pit systems and is responsible for the widespread sickness and death that plague the planet’s workforce.   Inhalation for extended periods of time leads to Xyphitic Dysphoria, a progressive disease that causes difficulty breathing, confusion, mild hallucinations, uncontrollable laughter, emotional instability, and eventual death.   Long-term survival on the planet depends on a constant supply of Xyphoril, a crude, bootleg drug produced from the residual sweat of the mined ore.   Officially, Xyphadon is catalogued as a penal operation working in tandem with The Governance.   Unofficial reports speak of slave trafficking, falsified manifests, and transports vanishing into orbit without a trace around the fractured planet's orbit.
