The Black Lotus
Out of the ashes of the Wyke Alley Boys a new gang arose on the streets of Corax, one that quickly found itself at the top of the criminal underground. With connections and influence spreading from the lowliest of cop to even the royal family, the Black Lotus are truly a global syndicate. But there are secrets beyond that of organised crime that are interweaved within the core of the Lotus, ones that are beginning to unravel as new revelations and pressures continue to present themselves.
Structure
Similar to most criminal syndicates, the Black Lotus is ran by a singular figure, with the current boss (or as their also known in the Lotus, the Patron/Patronne) being a well-respected and feared man named Lorus De Laquis. Alongside the Patron is a second in command called the Auxiliaire, who acts as the Patron's advisor and diplomat between the Lotus and other gangs. Under the boss are several Capitaine (captains), who each run each of the syndicates territories (usually the districts of cities). Under the Capitaine's are the Parentes who take charge of smaller territories within their Capitaine's main territory. The Parentes are in charge of several groups who together form Une Petite Famile. Each Famile has generalist groups called fraternité and specialised groups called confraternité, who take charge of special tasks such as major hits or infiltration. Each member of the Black Lotus refers to each other by either their title or familial names, with members of the same rank referring to each other as frère or sœur, and members of higher ranks being referred to as grande frère or sœur, aside from the Patron who is referred to as Papa or Mama. Those who have not been officially inducted into the organisation (which occurs only when a Capitaine or the Patron deems a person worthy) but still work with it are referred to as assistante.
