Altescine

For thousands of years the Altescine (People of the Tent) had lived and thrived in their native home of Altesland ever since the Great Rambler King, Fínnach Banáín led his people from the wreckage that was the city of Rallick in the aftermath of the Illithid Wars. Within their new home, the Altescine took up a nomadic lifestyle, forming many different clans and families. Their lives were peaceful, only seeing the occasional fight when one clan would insult another. That was until the Leudran arrived. At first they were no bother as they mostly settled along the coast, which was inhabited by only a few Altescine. However, as the Leudran moved further inward conflict rose. To stop the expansion of these new invaders, the Altescine took to raiding and pillaging their villages, but this was not enough to stop them. In the end the People of the Tent were pushed to the furthest point of the island, left to watch as the natural lands were torn up and turned into pastures or settlements. This caused many of the Altescine to flee the island and look for more hospitable lands, thus many of these people can be found wandering the continent of Jarindos. It is only in recent years that the Altescine have begun to reclaim their old territories, with many clans uniting under a new lord, the Great Settler King, Milo O'Driscle. This new kingdom has established a small capital along the coast of the Western Sea, and have incorporated many warfare, technological and cultural tactics from the Leudran. It is only a matter of time before they launch their assault on the Danmú Ionróir (Bastard Invaders).
