The Pontision System (Thee Pon-ti-zhn Si-stm)

View full timeline in: History of The Pontision System   The Pontision System is the galaxy in which the only known sapient life lives. It contains a large variety of people and planets, now connected by a system called The Web. It connects planets known as Worlds; locations with intelligent life who have developed advanced technology. There are currently nine known Worlds in the Pontision System:  

• Chatibos - A humanoid world, and technologically the least developed.
• Donerth - An ocean planet, its denizens occupying undersea cities.
• Malum Auctori - A harsh volcanic planet, coated in ash.
• Mundi - The centre of the galaxy and ally to all Worlds.
• Nurn - A desolate icy tundra. The people who live here must don temperature suits to have even a hope of survival.
• Otiosus - A war ravaged planet, now occupied by the only survivors: pacifists.
• Sani'Tatem - A dwarf, desert planet; whose inhabitants are constantly threatened by monstrosities.
• Telea - A tropical and flourishing planet, its cities being massive beehives.
• Yilvyke - What was once a beautiful and diverse landscape, has now become almost entirely semi-arid. It is the only World that is not a part of The Web.

  The Pontision System was named by the Mundians, as they were the ones to first develop the technology to communicate with other Worlds and begin to build bridges with them. They reached out to seven of the other eight Worlds and collaborated with each of them for almost a century. This collaboration eventually led to the construction of The Web, and the ability to physically meet with one another and travel to other Worlds.   However, this goodwill has slowly begun to deteriorate, as many of the Worlds have began to grow hostile toward one another. With the recent departure of Yilvyke, the colonial efforts of Malum Auctori, the agitations of Telea, and the arms dealing of Chatibos; tensions have never been higher.   Below is a chart that outlines all of the planets that can be found in the nine solar systems that are known to be inhabited. Each solar system is named after the name of the primary star (a.k.a. the sun) of said solar system. The planets are then listed based on distance, with the first planet being the closest to the primary star and the seventh (or closest to seventh) being the furthest from the primary star.
