Mure-jin (Pack)
Mure-jin are the descendants of humans who were genetically altered with DNA from Hiseki-gyou, to fight in the war between the Ta'ri'end'gud and the Chikyuu-jin. No longer genetically compatible with Homo sapiens, they proved to be able to procreate amongst themselves. The mure-jin make up about 45% of the Chikyuu-jin population.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Mure-jin for the most part appear to be human, at least at first glance. Their eyes (when not in darkness or about to fight) are blue to blue-violet - the exact shade varies individually. When they are in darkness or about to fight, the chromatophores that give their eyes the blue colour recede, and the true colour of their eyes (variations of gold/bronze/copper/amber) shows through.
While they appear to have human hair, it is actually tendrils that are sensitive to electromagnetic radiation - specifically the frequencies/wavelengths put off by living creatures. Their "mane tendrils" (what a human would consider to be head hair) tend to go down to their shoulder-blades, and cutting them results in pain and bleeding, as they are living parts of the mure-jin's body, rather than dead hair. "Body tendrils" replace eyebrows and body hair (they do not grow beards or moustaches), and provide mostly triangulation as to where the source(s) of EM radiation that they sense are.
They do have fingernails and toenails, the same as Homo sapiens, but under those nails are slits in the skin (not ordinarily visible) that hide bone claws, which can be extended by a muscle shift - very much like the teeth in the suckers of octopi.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Vision: Mure-jin, because of the effects of the Hiseki-gyou DNA, have a visual spectrum that ranges from yellow to ultraviolet light; they are unable to see red. (To most it just looks grey/black; some of them can see differing intensities that denote shades of red, just in grey.) Their vision is also geared more towards crepuscular and nocturnal vision (dawn, dusk, and night), and they have difficulty with bright light. The chromatophores (mentioned in anatomy and morphology) help shield their eyes from bright light, which is why their eyes always appear blue-shaded during daylight.
They also are what humans would consider far-sighted - they have difficulty making out details on things that are close.
