Totenfurt also allows the bandit king to treat with some high ranking members of society on their level some degree. Totenfurt also allows the greenbacks impose a weight of power on all areas nearby.
Alterations
Dorokor has rebuilt some of the stone walls to get them up to about six feet in height. He has had a twelve foot palisade placed in front of the stone walls. He has had the treeline pushed back around 50 yards and had the trenches re-dug with the low wooden stake walls to break any attacks.
Inside Dorokor has had wooden buildings built on the old broken foundations and had taken up refuge in the main still standing stone building.
Architecture
Totenfurt is a small fort with low stone walls bracing a tall palisade wall encircling a collection of buildings. There is a single stone building that is up against the mountainside allowing the building to be braced against attack. All the other buildings are made of wood that are built upon the old stone foundations. Outside of the walls there are trenches dug with low walls set up behind a cleared area. In the center in front of the fort is a circlular pit dug where the tourney is held each green moon.
History
Totenfurt was once referred to as the Grey Shadowed Fort for the state army which was built after the third war with Parravon and it was later destroyed during the fourth war with Parravon.
The fort was later taken over by a Necromancer who had high aspirations of power and started raise his army of the dead leading people to refer to the fort as Totenfurt. The necromancer was eventually slain by a group of misfit soldiers causing the necromancer's burgeoning army to collapse.
After the necromancer was gone the Greenback Outlaws took up refuge in Totenfurt building up the walls and adding buildings on to the old stone foundations. After the outlaws built up the fort the local lords decide to treat the outlaws with care. Once before a local noble gathered troops to attack the fort and they attacked them outright thinking them simple brigands causing many to be badly injured or captured. Dorokor released everyone for ransom or for "favors owed". After years of holding the fort Dorokor decided to start throwing a tournament every time Morrsleib rears its head and extending invites to people from all walks of life. Now the fort is a position of power for the greenback outlaws to direct their "tolling".
