Damarcus Caine is the only angel of the Light and the biggest thorn in the Darkness' side. He has waged a scorched-Earth campaign against the Darkness by fortifying and evacuating realms in its path. It is Damarcus' interference that has led to the Darkness attempting to release a world-ending weapon to defeat Caine. This weapon is Hyde, the Lord of Hunger.

Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Damarcus' arms and torso are warded with sigils of his patron deity. Additionally, his scalp is also tattooed with protective runes of the god of Death.
Special abilities
Damarcus is an angel of Death, and can theoretically kill anything. Once finished giving the Last Rites, the vanquished will be put to rest. However, this spell takes time and requires that Damarcus be within a hair's length of the subject.
Apparel & Accessories
Damarcus has long since discarded his reaper robes in favor of a suit of plated armor of the Light. His armor does not glow with the customary divine light, rather quite the opposite. Instead, his armor appears to absorb the light around it, making him only brighter by comparison. He does not wear a helmet, as he considers it disrespectful to kill someone without looking them in the eye.

Reaper's Blade: Damarcus still uses his blade from his time as an Angel of Death. This war-scythe, the weapon of death, has served him for centuries and Damarcus has grown attached to it.

Damarcus Caine was one of the few surviving Angels of Death after the Darkness' release. He narrowly escaped the massacre, and was taken in by the Light. Now, he serves as the sole Angel of the Light, rallying realms' defenders against the approaching Darkness and depriving it of precious souls.

Additionally, Dexter's loyalty is easily bought as an angel of the Light and his incarnations vary little. As a reaper, he was trained to reap souls for his master, sometimes forcibly. Those unwilling to die would often put up a fight, leading to the Angels of Death having to subdue them through combat. This fact has led to many reapers having centuries of combat experience against ferocious opponents. Because of this, they are feared, and with good reason.
