The Halls of the Gods

Thought to be the home of the gods, where they convene for ruling Ragnias and Rukulos, drink, eat, sleep, and train. Alongside the gods, many believe the spirits of the dead walk, bearing witness and training with the gods, in preparation for the Final War. It is a paradise to some, where their ancestors and fellow heroes reside, regaling in tales and songs of their lives, where warm food and cold mead await in endless supply. To others, it is a place beyond life; a place where the dead go to reside and walk among endless fields and do as they please, so that men do not have to contemplate the totality and lack of existence after death. And sometimes, the halls are a hellscape of punishment and damnation where spirits are put on trial and convicted for their crimes during life.

Demographics

Largely human, although with few examples of Elven, Dwarven, and even Giants, who worshipped Hrothmund

Guilds and Factions

The Vahiik, the Souls of the Honored and Mighty Dead, who drink and feast alongside Hrothmund, waiting until the Horns of the High War sound to announce the arrival of the Final War

History

When Hrothmund died, his soul persisted, ascending to another plane, where he built three halls, each he made for a specific purpose. The Halls of Valor were made to house that dead who Hrothmund deemed worthy to fight alongside him during the High War, the Halls of the Forgotten were raised to house the souls of those who never received a proper burial, or were not recognized by Hrothmund; they are still called upon in the High War, but are not as reliable or as powerful as the Vahiik. The Halls of Torment is reserved for those who dishonor the gods and blasphemers of the Pantheon, who are often seen as betraying Hrothmund and his kin. Sinners all reside here, and are called upon in the High War to be used as fodder for the Forgotten or the Vahiik
