Basil Williams
Perched in the branches of the canopy.
Description
In her Halfborn form, Basil is a petite young woman of Mexican-American descent. She has short and messy brown hair and green eyes. Starting just below her shoulders, her arms are covered in feathers and stretch out into mottled owl wings that are each as long as she is tall when fully unfurled. Starting at her thighs, her legs are that of an owl's, with talons on each of her four zygodactyl toes. While she still has her human ears, a pair of cowlicks in her hair makes her appear as though she has an owl's ear tufts. In her Witch form, Basil is a tall and sturdy young woman of Mexican-American descent. She has long and wavy brown hair and green eyes. Under her other clothes she wears a sleeved shawl made out of (her own) mottled owl feathers, giving her the appearance of faux "wings." In both forms, she is known for wearing a large green-and-orange military hiking jacket with the sleeves rolled all the way up. It's covered with discolored patches and stitches from her repeated attempts to keep it in good condition. She prefers to wear loose skater dresses under her jacket, foregoing normal accessories like shoes and bras to avoid interference with her transformation. Background
An adventurous young woman with an unusual condition, and one of the first "guests" at the House of Sisters in recent memory. She arrived at the House while searching for a well-preserved set of ruins in an owned-but-abandoned strip of forest in the American midwest. While at the House— like all of the official guests— she underwent a transformation at the hands of her Patron Mythic and ended up as a harpy-like Halfborn with owl wings replacing her arms. After forming a fast friendship with the House's other visitors, she is guided down the path of Witchcraft and eventually comes into her own as a Witch, gaining the ability to switch between her Witch and Halfborn forms at will once she reconvenes with her Patron Mythic and absorbs it into herself. With the broadest strokes of her "condition" handled, she is inspired by her new friends to become a caretaker to the other guests at the House. While she spends her own time exploring and growing as a Witch, she returns to the House whenever possible to give other guests the same opportunity that she received.Remove these ads.
