Personal history

William was born the fourth child, and third boy of the Gray-Horn family in 1411 in Hyghtheron.   He was shy and timid and often would often stay away from staff and family alike. Often his family had to send out servents to find him hiding somewhere in the castle.   In 1425 3e, William was only 14 during the Terror of Hyghtheron where he witnessed his entire family massacred by hordes of undead. William was narrowly able to escape through a small ventalation passage through the castle that only he could fit in. He escaped the castle and wandered the backstreets of Hyghtheron until coming accross a wounded woman and her daughter. The woman begged William in her dying breath to take her daughter and flee the city.   William took the child and continued to wander the dead streets. He was later found by a group of Order Guardsmen who helped him escape the city. William and the infant girl were seperated and he was sent off with a guard escort to hide in the woods until it was safe to return to the Kingdom.   William spent a few weeks camping in the outdoors with his guards. During that time he didn't speak to anyone at all and hardly moved. Only after a scouting party found them and told them it was safe to return did William slowly start to speak again.   By this point Hyghtheron was destroyed and William was next in line for the throne. He was brought to Endris where he was crowned King that very night.   The revolt up north had already started and William was pressured into giving the orders to send soldiers up north to deal with it. Upon their failure to retake the region from the rebels, William was forced to sign a peace treaty and was blamed for the loss of the Northern Territories. He had been a tool and later a scapegoat by members of his father's advisory staff that had survived Hyghtheron's destruction. William was all alone and his rule threatened by decite and power plays. At his lowest point he met a priest of the Order named Vitalos. He claimed that he was chosen by Reus to rule Acaron as he was spared from the destruction of Hyghthreon. William quickly found faith in Reus and Vitalos alike and kept the man at his court for support and guidance.   William shortly after was convinced by Vitalos to expose the traitors to the fellow nobles and the Order itself. William did and had them siezed. Vitalos recommended that they would either escape and cause more harm, or use their connections to try to have him killed, and so William just a month after being crowned king had four people killed, and formed his new pannel of advisors.   William continued to keep good relations with Vitalos and the two grew as friends and allies. Vitalos acted as a mentor to the young king and came to him when he most needed him. William in return made Vitalos' rise to the head of the Order easier.   By 1432 3e William was already drafting up plans to retake the nothern territories and restore honor to both his name, and his family. He continued to work with the Order and allowed them to assist in keeping order and stability in Acaron.   In 1434 e3 William agreed to the Shepherds' Blessing agreement and allowed seven abbeys to be built around Acaron in order to better serve the people and spread the word of Reus, as well as the construction of the Grand Cathedral in Endris.   In 1437 3e William gave the order to attack the North, in what would later be known as the Earth-Shatter War.   Upon the death of Reus William prayed at the great Cathedral and was crushed to death by falling debris.
