Wildlands

Northern Wildlands: The northern section of the wildlands was mostly made from cold hills, ice shelfs, and jagged coastlines. Most of the region was small scatterings of woodlands, in-between large swaths of hills and cliffs. This was the region most outsiders who dared head to the Wildlands saw, which made it's name quite appropriate.   Coastlines in this area were made of large pebble beaches and jagged sea cliffs.   At the furthest explored northern points, very little life existed and weather was extreme.     Eastern Wildlands: The eastern section of the wildlands is where some lighter forests painted the hills which were easier to navigate compared to the dense forests of the central west of the wildlands. Small united clans of humans were settled in the hills below the Blackwall Mountains.   Natural edible vegitation in the area, as well as plentiful river fish, also ensured clans in the area were well fed most years. nture into them never to return. Much of the area remained unexplored.   Even to locals, the central west was considered to truly be wild and dangerous.   Southern Wildlands: The southern section of the wildlands consisted of mostly warm rolling hills and soft coastlines. While some clans existed back in the eastern section, the vast majority of villages resided in this area.   Despite the lack of trees in this area, the southern most point of the region bordered the Thornlands, which a sudden wall of impassible brush and trees restricted further movement.   The soil and soft planes allowed for very successful farms. Along the south west some tribes from the western section settled and collected slaves from elves exiled from the Thornlands.   Western Wildlands: The western section of the Wildlands consisted of dense and harsh forests, as well as high seacliffs, and agressive and savage wildlife.   Predators in this region often were larger than their normal counterpoints and even attacked people. While the rest of the wildlands had agressive and untamed beasts compared to civilised Rodina, the animals in the west were monsterous compared to them.   The thick forests of the west were easy to get lost in and many people would disapear never to be seen again.   There were tribes of humans that lived in that region, that were hardy and agressive to outsiders. Some tribes operated slave trade and raids against villages to the south and east.

Gysers could be found in the high hills of the eastern region of the wildlands, along the Blackwall mountains.

Quite a few attempts to colonise the Wildlands had been made by the civilisations of Rodina, as well as The Sons of the Scale, but due to various reasons, all failed.
