Reaver Leech
Reaver Leeches were monstrous creatures made by accident in a Seekers of the Eternal Hour necromancer ritual gone wrong during the Terror of Hytheron. They were later altered to live inside rot reavers as a symbiotic parasite by the Order of Balance.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Reaver leeches had boneless, slime coated bodies that could extend and contract, with sharp needle like nose-mouths that could pierce flesh. They had no brain or eyes, and functioned on muscle and sensory taste recepticles that allowed them to "smell" warm blood. They were also able to rapidly grow via budding and grow tentacles to pierce and take over the nervious system of a host, allowing it to control it and tap into it's senses.
Genetics and Reproduction
Reaver leeches reproduced by budding, or when large enough segments of leech were severed from the main body.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Reaver leeches acted entirely on instinct and consumed flesh and blood to expand and multiply.
Additional Information
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Destroyed reaver leaches recovered from the ruins of Hytheron were later bred and turned into a more docile and controllable breed and implanted in rot reavers. These ones were able to create weaker undead thralls, and healed their rot reaver counterpart.
