Badlands
The Badlands was a brutal and nearly inhospitable segment of land in the southern most part of Rodina.
Geography
Due to the harsh environment and dangerous conditions, very little of the Badlands had been explored other than the eastern coastline and the mountain passage through the Whitewall Mountains. Most of the conditions reported had come from Kyrosian slavers gathering orcs.
The Badlands were made up of many jagged rocks and crags. Sand dunes rose along the coast and continued on for almost a mile inland.
A handful of small rivers supplied water local fauna and flora, but they would often dry up or shift in the sand beds. This sometimes left pools of stagnant water that would quickly fill with poisonous algae.
Some claimed that the region had underground volcanic activity, while others claimed fog clouds of poisonous gasses roamed the surface.
Ecosystem
Fresh food and water was rare in the Badlands which caused the local flora and fauna to be more agressive than in other parts of Rodina. Due to the nature of the vanishing rivers, trees were acceptionally rare, and most animals migrated often.
