Shirina
Keeper of Woe
In her youth, Shirina was a volatile child, prone to dabbling too frequently with her primal nature. Her family attributed her misbehavior to early onset Silver Sight, which empowered her to take greater risks than a child her age ever should. While her family tried to get through to her, she ignored their calls for caution, bounding about the cliffs of the Moonlit Rise without a care... until her companion – an arctic fox – succumbed to injuries he sustained in defending her. After tragedy, Shirina was humbled and sought to rebalance herself – to channel the beast within her in a more productive fashion. At the urging of her family, Shirina underwent the re-initiation ceremony early and, blessed with Greater Silver Sight, she was admitted into the Moonlit Tower.
As a Keeper of Woe, Shirina has tried to not only bear the sorrows of others, but to help them process their grief. While she shows great potential and a desire to serve, her exposure to sorrow, pain, and agony has left her control over her own primal nature shaky and weak. When Vilkas arrived in the Moonlit Tower, Shirina stepped up to try and help him, but it’s taken a tremendous toll on her. Her frustration at his situation and her helplessness in the face of it has further broken the chains around her more reckless, bestial nature. Too stubborn to admit defeat and too caring to abandon Vilkas, she continues to try and bear the burdens the mad werewolf harbors.
