Public Agenda

Stand Against the South

The Elinstor are a remnant that were forced to adapt and settle in a new land to survive. They are surrounded by an Empire that wants them gone and, as a result, have become hyper-vigilant against aggressive actions. After all this time, maintaining the eastern enclaves has become a matter of pride.

Containment of the Stormlands

Even 11,000 years after the Great Storm, the Elinstor elves remain vigilant guard on the borders of the eastern stormlands, ensuring that they are ready if the Fallen's forces ever rise again.

History

The Eastern March

As Auradir Rylin led the main forces of the Elemental Elves towards Gor'dol, Caden of House Manbon was tasked with leading a contingent of Elemental Elves into the eastern continent to stem the devastation and organize the remaining defenses.

The eastern march arrived to find that several major powers had already fallen to the Fallen's horde, leaving only the Kingdom of Taatshia on the southern edge of the continent. Establishing their headquarters at the remains of the old capital of the fallen kingdom of Acompia, Caden led his forces to develop a consolidated front to prevent the Fallen's devastation of the land from spreading further south.

Forced Isolation

As the Free Alliance began to rally against his forces, the Fallen enacted a new strategy seeking to isolate the various factions to weaken their responses. Using his vast control over the element of the air, he expanded the mystical Storm that already raged over his stormlands and spread it south, destroying the land bridge between the central and eastern continents, and making travel over the seas impossible. Thus, the Eastern March was cut off and had no way home.

A new civilization

The defeat of the Fallen at the Battle of Gor'dol, and his subsequent imprisonment led to an end to the Great Storm. The surviving orcish hordes on the eastern continent began to retreat far into the eastern stormlands, far beyond the safe reach of the Eastern March, who still found themselves isolated and blocked from easily returning home. While a few expeditions were sent east through the 'Thunder Seas' seeking to find a clear way to voyage via the other direction, none of these expeditions returned.

Caden Manbon, believing that he needed to ensure the survival of the forces under his command, the military, their families that had previously held the camps, and the support staff, established the city of Aegis-Mauribon where the central command camp once stood. This became the first permanent settlement of the newly named Elinstor Elves.

The Jailors of the North

Before leaving the Enclaves, the elven deity Mauri had tasked them with containing the storm, and even after the end of the active conflict, they sought to uphold their mandate. Six defensive forts were built along the northern borders of the stormlands, providing an active force of 40,000 elves prepared to combat the Fallen's troops if they ever returned.

Conflict with the Tatsshian Empire

As the eastern empire began to consolidate its power over the eastern continent, the Elinstor became one of the main holdouts from their rule. Having held this new land for thousands of years, the elves were determined to honor the sacrifices of their ancestors and continue to keep the eastern enclave.

Over the course of 1,000 years, they stood against several active invasions from the new empire.

The Storm Finally Disperses

In the 52nd century of the Age of Restoration, the Fallen's Storm finally dispersed, allowing communication and travel between the two continents for the first time in 7,000 years. This allowed representatives of House Manbon to finally travel back to the lands of their ancestors in the far war, the Maiden's Enclave, and reestablish communication with the now Elemental Enclaves. Neither the 4,500-mile sea journey nor the 3,000-mile land journey made active trade viable. Still, the Steward of the Seasons, Arhys Rylin, sent them several historical relics of House Manbon, additional magical relics, and equipment to aid their continued survival.

To the Present Day

The Elinstor have continued to hold their territory despite a long cold war with the Tatshiaan Empire, which has conquered the majority of the Eastern Continent.

Territories

The Elinstor Elves hold roughly 137,000 square miles of land in the northeast corner of the eastern continent.
