Layer Gamma

Overview

Layer Gamma, shortened as Layer-γ, is a timeline set one Layer away from Layer-A, separated by Layer-β. It is historically identical to both Layers-A and -β until the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Within Layer-γ, the battle resulted in the creation of the Two Englands, impacting every event from there on, most notably during the Renaissance, Enlightenment, Age of Sail, and Industrial Revolution. Temporal nonsense on the part of Time and Space and Knowledge led to the placing of ideas from the folklore of Layers-A and -β into Layer-γ. This has resulted in entire nations of so-called ‘legendary’ or ‘mythical’ beings, including the Wales Dragon Protectorate, the Human-Yokai Alliance of Nippon, the League of the Australian Serpent, and the Kingdom of the Amazon Basin.
