Spooktober 2025
Welcome To The Festival!
Spooktober has come round again, and the Library is littered with pumpkins, half-baked theories, and at least one shrieking scarecrow someone thought amusing. As ever, I have catalogued the month’s indulgences: each article a shadow given form, each tale a reminder that mortals will make rituals out of anything. Read them, if you must. But keep the lanterns lit.
For the Dice-Inclined
For the game-minded among you, who prefer your frights diced and tallied, I have taken the liberty of rendering this festival into Fifth Edition terms. You will find the bones of an encounter—or a whole evening’s mischief—set out below. Do use it wisely; players have an uncanny knack for taking jokes far too seriously.
Lanterns Out, Curtains Drawn
And so we end this little parade of lanterns, scarecrows, and ill-advised bargains. To all of you taking part in the World Anvil event—may your pens not run dry, your dice not betray you, and your fun be genuine. Good luck, and may your shadows stay exactly where you left them.
“Your continued reading is more valuable than coin. However, the author assures me that Ko-Fi support assists in ‘keeping the kettle on.’ I am told this is a metaphor. I remain unconvinced.” — Seraphis Nightvale Ko-Fi: #madmooncrow
