Saldin met Valeria when she used to sneak into the local courthouse to watch cases. The ran into each other and began to talk, and it became quickly apparent to Saldin that Valeria was his match when it came to knowledge of Hylian law. The two often spent their time debating law and politics until Saldin accidentally became privy to the fact that Valeria's father was abusing her and holding her hostage in her home. After rescuing her, Saldin proposed marriage in part to protect Valeria, and in part because he felt he would never find another woman like her.

Relationship Reasoning
Saldin originally married Valeria to help her escape from the terrible abuse that she suffered under her father, but they have long since come to love and respect each other for their shared interest in law. While Saldin works as a High Court Judge, he always consults his wife on his most important cases because he trusts her judgment.
