Marraketh (Mara-keth)
Once a dusty wasteland, the desert planet of Marraketh has since been transformed into a patchwork of sprawling metropolises and budding settlements. The planet is governed by house Ceigh, under the perview of the Kaylone Empire.
Geography
Beyond the sprawling cities lie vast desert plains mountainous rocky outcrops. Plant life is sparse despite large oceans.
Ecosystem
Much unlike other desert planets, Marraketh is rich in water. Though intense heat keeps most plants from growing naturally, inhabitants have found ways to build farms and allow life to thrive in the otherwise harsh desert.
Ecosystem Cycles
The temperature on Marraketh rarely drops below 50 during the daytime at any part of the year. Seasonal changes are mostly unnoticeable.
Localized Phenomena
Marraketh owes its riches to being one of the few planets where indium ore can be mined. This metal is refined into the fuel used to power Starships and is essential to the day to day functions of the galaxy.
Natural Resources
Indium ore and water are the two most valuable resources on Marraketh.
Tourism
Marraketh is a popular destination for those looking to make fast credits. The possibilities are endless with opportunities in anything from bounty hunting to smuggling.
