Starship Repair Robots
Each ship that are a medium size, or larger, have at least 1 repair robot. Repair bots each have an ID code, which is a combination of letters and numbers. Usually this is used to create a nickname. For example, repair bot FXR-387 might get nicknamed "Fixer".
Repair bots are programmed fro the ship they are assigned to. They are familiar with where the conduits, junctions, and every other element on the ship is, and how they all work. In order to use one on a different ship design requires them to be reprogrammed with knowledge for the new ship.
They robots are capable of accepting some basic verbal commands such as "repair the shields" or "repair the FTL drive", or even, "fix the stove".
They can respond with basic, limited vocabulary such as "confirmed" or "unable to complete the repair".
Repair Priority
Repair bots will work on repairs until the ship is repaired. Though they do need to recharge from time to time. Unless otherwise instructed, the droids will repair the ships systems in a default order of priority. This order can be changed, but most commonly the default order is;- Life support
- Power systems
- Hull breaches
- Engines
- Shields
- Weapons
- Anything else in any order
