Pollux
Pollux is a giant star, 34 light years from Earth, with a yellowish orange color. It is almost nine times the diameter of the sun, and about 30 times the sun’s brightness in visible light. It's intense output is in all spectrum's, not just visible light.
The star's intense light and radiation, means the only livable planet, called Polluxia is orbiting the star and an incredible 76 AU, or nearly 11.4 billion KM.
The other 3 planets in the system are 2 gas giants, and a very large rocky world with a closer orbit.
The rocky planet is named Pollux B. It is 5 times the mass of Earth and orbits at a distance 64 AU. This means the planet is extremely hot, with surface temperatures of up to 230 degrees Celsius during the day. It's also exposed to excessive amounts of solar radiation. Combining the radiation with the planets dense, poisonous atmosphere makes it a very unhospitable place.
The next planet out, after Polluxia is Pollux d. A very massive gas giant over 2.3 times the size of Jupiter. It has 78 natural satellites, and no usable resources. Like many gas giants, it was formed early in the systems evolution and cleared out most of the debris in the inner orbits of the system before moving to an orbital distance of 86 AU.
The furthest gas giant, orbiting at 94 AU from the star, has an atmosphere rich in helium-3 and hydrogen. Pollux station orbits one of it's moons and is used as a refueling and repair station, with dry docks. It can repair any size ship with the equipment it has.
