Markets and trade
Throughout the known worlds are dozens of species on hundreds of worlds. Each world evolved it's own form of trade. Some use resources, some use currency, and some use a barter system.
This has created a lot of confusion with the different currencies, markets and more. This is why Jumpcorp created their JumpCorp Financial services.
Most open markets will have merchants equipped to trade in either their local currency, or by using jumpcorp credits. Open markets pricing is typically consistent in most populated areas. A weeks worth of food in Keid will be about the same price as it is on Earth, or Adee.
Some items, may be more expensive if they are harder to find in that region. For example, ships fuel at a backwater station may cost 50%, or even 100% more than in a population centre.
This has resulted in Black Markets that arise in most populated areas as well. Though they have their own rules.
