Currency in the known worlds
Each world has it's own currency, with different values and names. Each world's currency has a unique name, except for humans from Earth, and the Gaians who model a lot of their world on Earth since they had the least amount of time on it's own world. So, both those worlds use the "Dollar" for the name of their currency, though the values are quite different.
Most interstellar travelers get accounts with JumpCorp Financial to make trading on different worlds easier. JumpCorp Financial has branches is almost any colony. Some of the most remote locations may only have access terminals.
