The Praethorian Invasion of the Lost Galaxy

The Conflict

Prelude

While the Praethorians prepared thoroughly for their invasion, the races of the Lost Galaxy were completely unprepared for it. While the Portal arrived at the edge of the Lost Galaxy, the most powerful species, the Krrrirrrk, were in a massive war with two other species. Another species just made it through a destructive civil war and only one other species had a good economic and military standing, whilst having the smallest territory.
As the main goal of the Praethorians was to integrate the races of the Lost Galaxy into their Empire, they first reached out diplomatically towards the first species they met after the Portal connection was established: the Krrrirrrk. The Praethorians made the offer that the Krrrirrrk could be integrated into the Empire peacefully, but the Krrrirrrk understood this offer as a decleration of war and attacked.
