Névorâna Theocracy
Religion
Religion takes up a big role in névorâna society. Their most important scripture is the Ilvâ.
In it their homeworld with it's two moons and it's central star, are seen as deities. The Névorâ is seen as the father, the two moons Liénâ and Kûnro are his sons and the sun Alliviâ is seen as the mother. One of the more important stories from the Ilvâ is also the reason for a deep cut within névorân society.
It tells that a long time ago the two brothers Liénâ and Kûnro wandered together across the night sky. But one day Liénâ stole a part of Kûnro's light to be closer to their mother. Feeling deeply betrayed, Kûnro then attacked his brother with a knife, which left a big scar on Liénâ's face. After this confrontation their father scolded them for this immature behavior and forced them to now walk apart from one another across the sky. Over time Liénâ wanted to repent for his misdeeds and give Kûnro his light back. But Kûnro, unable to let go of his mistrust, never accepted the offer.
This story and it's different interpretations led to the névorân society splitting into five different major factions. The biggest of them beeing the "Névorâvâre", which somewhat translates to "Worshippers of Névorâ", who worship the father Névorâ as their main deity. Their centrel beliefs focus around authoritarianism. The "Liénâvâre" worship Liénâ in the same vein and follow it's teachings of redemption and compassion while the "Kûnrovâre" live by mistrust and retribution. The "Alliviâvâre" in contrast live mostly isolated and think, that one should not interfere with the problems of others. The fifth faction the "Réltovâ", which means "Sceptics", has mostly cut itself off off the religion and the other factions. Another smaller faction is spread across all the different territories, the "ré Ilvâ ovân", which translates to "the Ilvâ faithful". Their aim is to unite the other factions, as they believe, that all the different deities are meant to form a union and not seperate their worshippers.
