Zel-Tar
The last remnants of the only elvish defence structure. The elvish name was forgotten in long lost years the name Zel-Tar is the butchered nickname taken from The fort still stands undamaged by a siege. It's an eerie place to visit. After the defeat of elvish forces at the lakes, the great migration started. Zel-Tar still stands rotting away in the wood. In today's time the place is said to be a druid's home and his fellowship.
Purpose / Function
Historically housing of cavalry and footsoldiers designed to withstand any assault attempts. Now home to a druid.
Architecture
Two towers with ounly outer walls and a ground sconces at their sides huing the edge of the crater show the confidence on the natural inaccesibility of this location. four more back-opened towers are placed in an U shape as the last defence. There are walls between those towers and one gate in the middle. The fort has no further walls and is littered with wooden pikes facing outwards most of which now rotten away used to show the confidence in elvish archers and the inaccessibility of any force other than better archers.
History
Orcs conquered the fort in the first swarming of deep orcs. At the time the elvish forces fought orcish main force at the maiden's tears. Garrison left behind was in the meantime overwhelmed with a surprise attack in the rear by the deep orcs scaling the steep edges of Giant's heel. With difference in forces greater than 300 to 1 elvish force was defeated in a manner of minutes. Orcs ran through the fort ransacking everything in their path and taking corpses as food supplies. When retreating forces came to the gate. There was noone to open it and the last army of elves was butchered meters from safety.
