AJ

From Flight Director at NASA to Commander-Ultimos of The Psygorellius, Alexi Jadovski or AJ is neither Hellecian nor human. A gentle giant of a man with a shattered mind; visualized by a glowing wound of unknown origins on his head.

Haunted by visions of his past and voices from the Cosmic Aurora, AJ leads the Psygonauts to stop the coming war and restore his shattered mind.

With the help (and hindrance) of his chief advisors: Ulysses "Ollie" Dylos & Eucidrie, AJ will travel the sector in search of his father's lost crown; the last divine item that will rally the Hellecians under his authority.

Background:

All we know about AJ's past in the Hellecian Sector is the fact Zeus & his Pantheon were responsible for his separation from his father, the crown, his home & his past.

As for his life on Earth, AJ was Flight Director for NASA's experimental "ARGO" rocket program. It was in this program AJ first met Ollie.

The lovable airhead of a boss would personally mentor Ollie as he buttheads with another brilliant scientist Penny Pavona (Ollie's wife).

With AJ's guidance, the ARGO program would go on to be a success and drew Ollie & Penny together into marriage.

The trio became inseparable and life was good. However, AJ remained restless and looking towards the stars. He read a copy of "The Iliad" like it was a window into a life he once knew but couldn't remember.

It wasn't until the ARGO-8 test flight, AJ received visions that called him to test the new rocket iteration himself.

As he climbed into the rocket, his last words were "Keep the Stalk Growing" (a co-opted passage from "The Iliad" meant to inspire Ollie & Penny). Then the unthinkable happened.

The rocket exploded.

Back Home Again

Lost without their friend, Ollie and Penny drifted apart.

Ollie and Penny wouldn't see AJ again until the ARGO-9 launch, where a cosmic anomaly pulled them into the Hellecian Sector.

Separated from Penny, Ollie found AJ working in a prison shipyard. However, AJ didn't remember him.

Calling himself AJM-001 and sporting a glowing growth on his head, AJ wouldn't regain parts of his memory until Dylos saved AJ's life by cutting open a massive cerebral embolism through a scar on his head.

AJ was able to remember fragments of his past. However, this event created a "reset button" in the form of a glowing head wound.

His mind was split in two personalities: "Commander" AJ (most similar to AJ on Earth) & "Clueless" AJ (a passive & forgetful shill who does what he's told). These two would swap places during massive surges or concentrated strikes of Ichorized energies to his glowing head wound.

Through the guidance of the Aurora and with Ollie/Eucidrie's help, the new trio defeated the rebel leader Myriax right before he shipped Penny & Galia offworld.

While they failed to save them, the trio uncovered the ship that would change the lives of the sector forever.

Although the Delot prison complex possessed the legendary ship (fixing it up for a dignitary's visit (Syracilus ). Through the scheming of UHP Rector Dysomus , the trio escaped aboard the refitted Psygorellius with a new crew of Psygonauts.

Role on the Psygorellius:

As Commander-Ultimos of The Psygorellius, AJ has a metaphysical link to the ship. He can activate/deactivate certain functions on the ship with his mind, tap into a 360 degree sensory field around the ship, coordinate the various banks of rowing chutes & acts as a linch pin for the ship's reactor.

While AJ sits on the ship's golden throne, the ship can move using its COAG reactor. Without him, the ship's dead in the water (excluding individual rowing chutes & life support).

In atmosphere, AJ commands Psygonaut forces to either scavenge for materials, solve a local ruler's problem (slaying a beast or defending against rebel forces), or save innocents from danger.

Throughout their adventures, AJ will rely on Dylos and Eucidrie for their judgement, giving the trio critical roles in each episode's mission.

Dylos and Eucidrie will use their brains and connection to the Cosmic Aurora to save their friend and their crew members from the shadows (science vs fantasy).

However, Dylos and Eucidrie would prove their abilities in using AJ to accomplish their personal goals.

As a result, AJ would built an impressive arsenal of sacred weapons/armor/devices given to him from the kings, merchants, demi-gods, and all other lifeforms the Psygonauts would help on their quest to find the Lost Aurora Crown of Ilocanos-7 somewhere in the Isbarbous Spout (see Topographical History of The Sector .

Will AJ find the crown, restore his memories, help Ollie/Eucidrie rescue Penny/Galia & prevent the universe-ending war?

Or will AJ's past reveal a truth no mortals were meant to see?
