WorldEmber Pledge 2024

Throughout the years the world has slowly grown in multiple directions at the same time, each following a campaign project that ended early or fell through. As I now look upon this world with yet new hope, I will not create it only for the small piece that the adventure will take me through but to express the many places wish I could see. For life to grow one must first prepare the soil so this comming december will not focus on the adventures within the world but what drives it forward. Although countless thoughts flow through my head I lack the dedication to put them all to paper, but with a clear goal in mind I will lay the foundation of the Gods. I never wanted a world where an infinate amount of power existed but one where everyone could stand on the same level, one where Gods had a clear source to their strenght and faith was not what they needed but gladly took.

My realistic goals

My main passion is not writing but imagination and creation of worlds. I want to share that with my friends and enjoy it through games but a world of my own could never be fully realized as the motivation to write down my every thought is not there. For some the use of AI tools might not feel in the spirit but for me it allows me to finally express all my thoughts. My pledge is not to write every word of my worlds Gods but to put my mind to text through whatever helps me. So this December I will finish replanting my world in a pot and I explore it world one article at a time.

While writing will take up time I will focus on continuing games so that they do not fall away like many others. My goal is not only to continue my ongoing campaign but to manage my two smaller projects so that when my friends visit, we can play as much as we want instead of getting stuck behind planing in the holidays.

Week 2

I have started to recreate my start page alongside my campaign pages so that players will find the information they seek easier. I want to change to Table of Content into an image that players and readers can follow (although I mainly care about my players) so they can read up on how my world works in more detail. This in combination with discussions have previously born new concepts into the world that I have implemented into my RPG which is the focus I am looking for. I focused on my two smaller campaigns this week as they where easier but only the Helldivers campaign currently has a proper page.  

Week 3

My inspiration comes partially from the lore in Critical role and I have read their book on the Gods so that I get some inspiration how I want to do it personally. Although at first I was considering taking a more straight path at this point I feel motivated to build it up from scratch rather then simply modifying other gods to fit my world.
  I have some boards on pintrest for intresting characters that I am drawing insperation from to apply to my Gods but I am also preparing to use DALL-E to create some new art to fill the world with.
  I have gathered some nice music that, although it might not be all that fitting with great battles, is nice to just relax and write to. I have found that the more thematic music prevents me from focusing on my writing and instead gets my blood pumping to move.  

Week 4

Most of my goals are personal but shared among my small group of players in my campaign as it is for them I do this. I look forward to writing and finding inspiration among other World Anvil writers but the things I write for now is focused on my narrow view. In the future I hope that what I write might give some insperation to someone else.
  I feel blessed by plenty of rollplaying this winter but that means that my time is cursed to slip through my fingers even faster. I will need to spend a few late evenings in order to acomplish my goals and I will aim to write mondays, wednesdays and saturdays for an hour each.
