Expanding on Creation

There exists a Concept that was not represented at the time of creation. This Concept is one represented by that which can only come from higher education that if truly mastered the one who masters it will ascend to become an elemental Deity of technology... or invention... or innovation.... there is some debate. Over the millennia there have been gnomes with almost perfect mastery over their discipline. The fact that they did not ascend means it was not the right discipline or that the gnome in question wasn't knowledgeable enough.Further experimentation needed to ascertain for certain.

The ultimate basis of this myth stems from a philosophical debate in which it was ascertained that the Elemental Deities are embodiment of a pure concept and by that fact the masters of that concept. Further discussion branched into the theoretical concept of mastering concepts that were not evidently present at creation. One of the witnesses of this debate was a Gnome.

Every single gnome knows of this legend and every single gnome believes the logic of it.

There have been some branching in the finer points of the myth. Some believe it will be technology, some raw invention, others think perhaps more mental disciplines such as higher mathematics or logic. The singular commonality is that it must be a concept not represented by the existing Elemental Deities.
