All lesser clans and communities chose which of the two Greater Clans they would fall under. Each greater clan was given the right to choose their own leader in their own manner.
The Traditionalists who chose to remain with their mountains chose Clan Stoneborn to lead them as their Greater Clan. All other Clans swore to the head of Stoneborn who took the Title of Clan Master. Durevor Stoneborn was the first Clan Master.
