Penstramm

History

Penstramm was the first independent colony of the Coloniate System in Calatasshone. Penstramm was built on the site of Tasine and Bollo after the colonies were burnt down in a raid by Sourian natives in 598 PT. During the Calatasshone Civil War, Penstramm remained neutral along with the other colonies on Pascall. Penstramm acted as neutral ground during two rounds of peace negotiations between the Calatassi United Council and Calatasshone Trading Company in 851 and 853 PT respectively.

Trade & Transport

Penstramm was home to the Mantrakka Company, the largest carpentry workshop in Calatasshone. The workshop attracted artisans from across Calatasshone and its produce was traded across the archipelago. The Mantrakka Company was one of the few companies that worked in Chalkwood, making its furniture desired across the world for its unique colours and durability. The creation of the Outer Workshop increased the size of the company, making it one the larger employers in Penstramm. By the 800s, the Mantrakka Company was the main source of income for Penstramm, keeping the relatively small colony afloat as the Calatasshone Trading Company began to take over the economy of the archipelago.
