Personal history
The bastard son of incest between the son and daughter of the King of Yordtrad, King Agethyc II. His identity was hidden and he was presented as the bastard of the King's daughter. The daughter was sent off to become a wise woman in the forests in the north in service to the Old Gods. Yath was intended to be killed in secret, but other affairs interfered: his mother allegedly cursed her brother to protect their forbidden child. The boy was sent off to stay with distant cousins in the relatively poor holding of Serkmöne.
When the Kingdom of Yordtrad collapsed into civil war, Yath was ignored either due to his insignificance or he was protected by his mother's magic. Either way, he survived the struggle for power in which most of his close and distant family died, leaving him as the last Yordt with any kind of land holding. His guardian died childless the year before the end of the struggle, leading to Yath inheriting Serkmöne in 142 AT.
Yath maintained a relatively low profile for the rest of his life, marrying young (as opposed to the Yordt tradition of late marriage and birthing). He had one son, Ithstarn. He aspired to ride the Serks, capturing a few in the old pens of Serkmöne, but the relative poverty of his holding prevented him from doing much with them.
He died under suspicious circumstances at age of 37 in 131 AT, not long after his mother also died, further suggesting a link between her magics and his survival.
