Dzurazjuń
History
Dzurazjuń is a town on the banks of the River Bosien in North Quentar. It was named after the God Dzurazjun because pilgrims visiting the nearby Idol of Dzurazjun would stay in the inn in the town before crossing the Bosien to visit the shrine.
Dzurazjuń became the capital of the Vercuva of Teđát after the fire of 600 AT which destroyed the original town. The Idol and many of the surviving treasures of the Palace of Verguń were moved to Dzurazjuń for safekeeping. A stone wall was constructed around the town and a second bridge was added.
The town was home to one of the earliest river locks, used to facilitate the travel of large barges and Giant Turtle carriages up and down the Bosien. The town became a centre of trade a taxation and was fought over several times. It was partially destroyed in 300 PT, but recovered quickly afterwards.
