Ixgal
The western region of Ixgal is dominated by vast regions of partially desertified savanna in the north, warm savanna in its middle, and rainforests to the south. In the southern regions, dozens of major rivers and large basins cut down from the interior and flow to the coast. In the Summer, the winds blow dramatic monsoons as far north as Altan and Garra, known locally as the 'wet season'. Come winter time, hot, dry air from the North pushes back down from the desertified savanna, known locally as the 'dry season'. Along the southern coast, these terms are subjective, with less severe rains occurring over the course of the dry season as well.
