Dys

History

  Dys is seen as the god of oaths and loyalty, representing either a paternal and orderly duality of Ghenn the Void Mother, or the male counterpart to an earth goddess as an offspring of Ghenn. He is often the father of Yemh and Manu and worshipped as a father of all mortals, having agreed to provide access to the divine to Manu and all his children in exchange for the sacrifice of Yemh.   To others such as the Kengirians, Dys was also a kind of heavenly administrator in the form of An, providing a source of divine authority through which the immense power of the celestial ocean could be safely channeled to his children. To Kalti he is Arawen the Otherking, the dark judge who presides over a Land Beyond, harvesting the dead of this world.   To the Fulkskartr, Dys is Dewas the left handed who sacrificed his hand
