The Amanu bloodlines represent just a handful of surface folk who once inhabited Geron's surface during the Changeling War Interregnum approximately 300,000 years ago. Throughout the Fourth Cycle, the varied clans of the Amanu were displaced, killed in wars or cataclysms, or interbred and wiped out, leaving only a few bloodlines to survive the Gatamarian Nightwinter. The Amanu are most commonly associated with the Meruvid Kingdom of Great War fame, but the truth is that the Amanu have been prolific all across Geron's surface since Cassildan Betrayal Interregnum 54,000 years ago, forming uncountable languages and cultures throughout many lands.
The Amanu are consumate surface hunters, having mastered hunting, toiling and journeying under the light and heat of the sun. With keen daytime sight, good , they have spread across much of the surface world. Amanu tend to integrate into communities especially for other races and make for skilled traders. Adaptable Tongar The Tongar are consumate wanderers and explorers present in virtually every community in Geron, renouned for their hot weather acclimation and general adaptivity to changing environments. The Tongar are just as at home in an alchemical laboratory as they are exploring the jungle, often serving as couriers and traders due to their capabilities as overland travellers.
Resilient Kapu The older Kapu trace their lineage to a handful of sure-footed mountain tribes from the Fourth World. They are quick healers and cope well with the thin mountain air, are good climbers and swimmers and have the ability to make due with less air has resulted in some Kapu becoming excellent free-divers and dungeon delvers. The Kapu have a strange link to the Void and can more easily see arcane or spiritual energies. Sturdy Altay The Altay are robust and sturdy humans with strong bones and muscles and notice hidden things, like changes in movement, color, shape and shape. They are better adapted to the cold weather and have an intuitive nature.
