Domusanc Drusurys

Domusanc Drusurys controls the largest military force in Daeamorant, with the most highly trained troops in the country. It is not an uncommon belief among the people of the country that when Drusurys goes to war, that's when things are serious. Fortunately for the country as a whole, it has been some time since the might of Drusurys was needed. This does not, however, bode as well for the Domusanc.   A significant portion of the influence of Domusanc Drusurys within the political sphere of the country stems directly from their military might, and thus with no wars to fight, they find themselves in an unfortunate position of having little leverage with the other Domusancs. This is not helped by the fact that, while vast and able to sustain its population, the region of Lucanis over which the Domusanc presides has little in the way of luxury resources or prominent trade goods.   Because of these factors, Domusanc Drusurys is in something of a decline, but you wouldn't know it from travelling Lucanis. Domusanc Drusurys prides itself on being stalwart and disciplined, dedicated to a persona of vigilance and resolute willpower. This is perhaps partially due to Lucanis having the highest population of Dragonborn within a great distance, considering Dracallyn fell long ago, and such traits are considered common among the Dragonborn. Moreso, however, this sense of pride stems from the history of Drusurys and its origins in the Order of the Divine Blade, an ancient monastic order of Paladins and warriors which has produced a number of important individuals throughout Daeamorant's history. The Order is barely a shell of what it once was, but it still serves as an important cultural and historical icon.   Domusanc Drusurys reveres the ideals of Torach most highly among the Benevolent Ones, and produces more Paladins than any of the Domusancs. Additionally, the only Dwarven settlement in Daeamorant, Dhakal-kor, can be found in Lucanis, and the region has a noticeably larger Dwarven population than the others, possibly contributing to the region's dedication to Torach. Beyond that however, they command the largest force of mounted knights and have a prevalent warrior class of nobles which hold significant political power locally.   Lastly, the combination of a decline in influence and a reputation in combat prowess causes Lucanis to produce more mercenaries and adventuring parties than other regions throughout the country, with ties to Domusanc Drusurys often being all an applying adventurer needs in Daeamorant to find work in other regions.
